Renovated 90m2 flat

Before tackling a far-reaching renovation of a flat of about 40 years old, Domoticus was approached to take charge of automating this home. A solution was required to needs for comfort, security, control, care of people and energy saving. There was also a desire to access and control the flat over the Internet and using touch screens.

The KNX installation provides binary activation modules, lighting controls, shutter activators, thermostats, pressure sensors, flooding sensors, open window and door sensors, smoke detectors and video surveillance cameras. The flat is controlled using conventional push-buttons, touch screens, computer and mobile phones.

Ripoll Hotel

The Ripoll Hotel had central heating operating in time bands in the 28 bedrooms with no thermostat. Whether or not the bedrooms were occupied or empty, the heating was on in all of them.

The hotel approached Domoticus to achieve a 50% reduction in heating oil consumption by optimising the way of heating the rooms, heating only the occupied ones, not the empty ones. To achieve this, it was necessary to integrate data from the hotel management program into the building automation solution.

A touch application was requested for manually controlling the status of all the rooms, making it possible to set parameters for the control elements and display the status of the hotel.

Office

A commission came to us to automate some small commercial premises for use as an office with two workstations measuring 15m2. It required control of the lights, the metal shutter, the light sockets and electric radiator heating and the creation of an anti-intruder alarm with video surveillance.

As the job was small, the estimate had to be, too. To activate and control these elements, we used a touch screen with a thermostat and a 6-output module. A presence sensor and IP Wi-Fi camera will provide the required security for the office.

With a very low budget, it is possible to efficiently control everything required for commercial premises.
